The Law of Cycles
Applying the Perennial Wisdom to the Six Cultural Behaviors: Within every culture and spiritual tradition are a set of core insights or truths. Because the same principles recur across the world in so many places, they are sometimes called the perennial wisdom. Ironically they are noticeably absent in the spheres of politics, ecnomics, and the everyday leadership of organizations. Yet the perennial wisdom is essential to the resolution of those problems that most threaten our organizations and our planet. In this series of conversations, we explore the principles of the perennial wisdom and their application to healthcare and the six cultural behaviors. Come for any or all of this ongoing series.

The Recovery of Positive Self Value
One of the most startling discoveries associated with the Hartman Value Profile experiences is the large number of people - usually very accomplished and successful people - who suffer from a self-esteem that is not as strong as it has the potential to be. This session will explore how negative self-esteem is typically created, how it can be overcome and the strategies of 'backflushing' and 'conscious intercepting' can be effectively used. There will be practical suggestions and concrete strategies for understanding the power of a positive self valuing.

The Visible Future
If we extend our perception, we discern the edges of the future world emerging. While much will be surprising, discontinuous, and unknowable, there is also a visible future. In this conversation, we explore pieces of what is perceptible: a transparent world; one which is flatter without the barriers of time and space that in the past separated individuals, communities and nations; a world strained by aging populations; driven by consumers with greater power; shaped by broader conceptual thinking and the interface between the spiritual and the material called "translucence". All of these and other trends drive deep changes across society.

The Year of Magical Thinking
Learn about the advantages and disadvantages of “magical thinking”. Also gain valuable insights into the balance between self and work. We will follow the recent work of Joan Didion, so reading her new book, The Year of Magical Thinking can be very helpful.

Touching the Perennial Wisdom
People around the world are discovering that many of the most cutting-edge ideas originate from the application of ancient wisdom principles -- called the perennial wisdom. This recognition has been popularized recently through the work of individuals like Don Miguel Ruiz on the Toltec Wisdom in his best-selling book, THE FOUR AGREEMENTS.

Truly Authentic Leadership
There are a lot of potential leaders around, but to be effective they must focus on the right traits.
